Exempt Position Summary The Cast House Manager is responsible for overseeing all foundry and casting operations within a fast-paced aluminum extrusion manufacturing facility. This role leads production, safety, quality, maintenance, and continuous improvement efforts within the Cast House to ensure the efficient production of high-quality aluminum billets that support downstream extrusion operations. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership experience in aluminum casting, foundry operations, metals manufacturing, or a related industrial environment. Essential Responsibilities Manage all day-to-day Cast House operations, including melting, alloying, casting, homogenizing, and billet production. Lead and develop supervisors and production employees to achieve safety, quality, and productivity goals. Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements. Monitor production schedules and coordinate with extrusion and maintenance teams to meet business demands. Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, yield, cost reduction, and process optimization. Analyze production metrics and implement corrective actions to improve performance. Oversee preventive maintenance activities and support equipment reliability initiatives. Manage departmental budgets, staffing, and operational resources. Lead root cause investigations related to quality, downtime, safety incidents, and equipment failures. Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and operational excellence. Qualifications Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience in aluminum casting, foundry operations, metals manufacturing, or a similar heavy industrial environment. Strong knowledge of molten metal handling, casting processes, and manufacturing operations. Proven experience leading teams in a production environment. Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills. Experience with Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies preferred. Working Conditions Manufacturing environment with exposure to heat, noise, moving equipment, and molten metal operations. Frequent presence on the production floor. Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE). Why Join Us?
