7:30 am to 4:00pm A growing aluminum glazing and fenestration manufacturer based in a 30,000 sq. ft. facility in New Jersey. We fabricate aluminum windows, storefront systems, curtain wall, and architectural metal products for commercial contractors, developers, and architects. As we expand our production capabilities, we're looking for an experienced Production Manager to lead our shop floor operations. Position Summary The Production Manager will oversee daily manufacturing operations at our Parsippany facility, ensuring products are fabricated safely, on schedule, and to spec. This role is responsible for managing production staff, optimizing workflow, maintaining quality standards, and driving continuous improvement across the shop floor. Key Responsibilities Plan, schedule, and supervise daily production operations for aluminum window, storefront, curtain wall, and architectural metal fabrication. Oversee operation and upkeep of our Elumatec CNC fabrication equipment, ensuring proper use, changeover, and maintenance scheduling. Manage, train, and develop production staff including CNC operators, fabricators, and shop personnel. Ensure production output meets quality, tolerance, and finish specifications. Monitor and optimize workflow, machine utilization, and shop floor layout to improve throughput and reduce waste. Coordinate with estimating, engineering, and project management teams to align production schedules with project deadlines. Enforce safety protocols and maintain compliance with OSHA and other applicable regulations. Track production KPIs (output, scrap rate, on-time completion, labor efficiency) and report to ownership. Manage inventory of raw materials, hardware, and consumables in coordination with purchasing. Troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions. Support development of standard operating procedures and career progression paths (e.g., CNC operator ladder). Maintain equipment maintenance schedules and coordinate repairs/service as needed. Qualifications 5+ years of production/manufacturing management experience, ideally in aluminum glazing, fenestration, metal fabrication, or a related industry. Strong knowledge of aluminum extrusion fabrication, CNC machining, and glazing/window assembly processes. Experience with Elumatec CNC machining centers strongly preferred. Proven ability to lead and develop a production team. Experience reading architectural/shop drawings and specifications. Strong organizational and scheduling skills; ability to manage multiple concurrent jobs. Working knowledge of OSHA safety standards. Proficiency with basic production/ERP software and Microsoft Office. Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred but not required with equivalent experience.
