This position is responsible for coordinating production, maintaining quality and efficiency, managing employees, and ensuring materials move through the facility safely and on schedule.
Responsibilities:
Supervise and coordinate daily production activities and employees. Operate and oversee finishing equipment, machinery, and production tools. Safely operate a forklift and manage the movement of lumber and materials. Ensure machinery is operated safely and maintained properly. Monitor production schedules, quality, and material usage. Train employees on equipment, safety procedures, and production processes. Keep the production area organized, clean, and efficient. Troubleshoot production and equipment issues as they arise. Maintain a safe working environment and ensure company procedures are followed.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in production, manufacturing, lumber, woodworking, or a related field. Comfortable operating industrial machinery and learning new equipment. Forklift experience required. Strong leadership, organization, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work in a physically demanding, fast-paced environment. Safety-conscious with strong attention to detail. Skills Good organizational skills Basic math skills Ability to lift heavy objects High school diploma/GED Bilingual is a plus but not required
