Our products are built locally by a skilled union workforce, and we are continuing to invest in our people, equipment, and operations for future growth. We are looking for a hands-on Plant Manager to lead our manufacturing operations and production team. This is a key leadership role for someone who enjoys being on the plant floor, solving problems, developing people, and improving how things get done. What You'll Do Lead daily manufacturing operations and provide direction and accountability to production employees and leads. Build a strong culture of safety, quality, productivity, and teamwork . Plan and allocate labor to meet production schedules and customer delivery requirements. Work closely with supervisors, engineering, quality, production control, and Sales to keep production moving efficiently. Identify and implement improvements to processes, workflow, equipment, and labor utilization. Manage employee performance, attendance, discipline, and other personnel matters in accordance with company policies and the union contract. Maintain positive and professional relationships with union representatives and participate in any grievance and labor discussions. Ensure compliance with OSHA, FDA, ISO, and company safety and quality requirements. Monitor key manufacturing metrics including safety, quality, labor efficiency, scrap, downtime, and on-time delivery . Use the ERP system to support production scheduling, labor planning, inventory, and reporting. What We're Looking For 5+ years of manufacturing supervisory or management experience. Experience managing in a unionized manufacturing environment. Strong leadership and people-management skills, with the ability to hold teams accountable while maintaining a respectful workplace. Solid understanding of manufacturing operations, production planning, quality, and workplace safety. Experience with manufacturing regulatory requirements; ISO experience is a plus. ERP system experience for reporting Strong problem-solving, communication, organizational, and decision-making skills. A practical, hands-on approach to manufacturing leadership. Associate's degree in manufacturing, engineering, operations, or a related field preferred. Why HARD Manufacturing?
