Job Description:

Plant Manager Position opened 5/11/26 This is an Ohio based company with 300+locations through out the country. They need to hire an experienced plant manager for their Vandalia location. Responsibilities will include managing all matters involving the production and shipment of company products which includes working closely with corporate purchasing agents to secure raw materials and supplies, staffing and motivating Team Members, maintaining high standards of product quality and plant sanitation, overseeing facility equipment operation and maintenance, handling and warehousing of raw materials and finished products, evaluating and recommending equipment changes and modifications, creating and maintaining a safe work environment for all Team Members, managing the adherence of the facility to SQF, USDA, and HACCP programs, and directing the facility to reach predetermined goals and benchmarks related to the items described above. The Plant Managers acts as liaisons between their assigned plant and Home Office departments. The Plant Manager is expected to perform related duties assigned by management, which may be added, revised, or eliminated based on business and operational needs, with or without advance notice. Responsibilities will include ;Manage the efficient production of quality products by working directly with the production supervisor, shipping and receiving staff, office administration and other departments depending on plant location; Ensure raw materials and supplies are received and finished product is shipped in a safe, sanitary, and efficient manner; Maintain adequate inventories of quality finished products to supply to the operating areas; Develop and maintain a talented workforce, ensure team member engagement and retention; Maintain production and operating cost at the lowest level possible, commensurate with high quality products; Coordinate production needs by monitoring sales, orders, and inventory; The company is offering a comprehensive package of benefits that include 4 weeks vacation your first year and a starting salary up to $132,000. They are asking for a candidate who has : Bachelor's degree in, Industrial Engineering/Industrial Management or equivalent field, or comparable experience required; Manufacturing experience with at least 3 years of solid supervisory experience with excellent team member relations and interpersonal skills required; and Strong coaching, training, and mentoring skills; Must be able to plan, budget, and oversee multiple processes at once to run profitably and efficiently; Knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations and laws relating to employment and labor practices, Equal Employment Opportunity and wage and hour compliance; Knowledge of recruiting, interviewing and selection practices; Knowledge of federal, state, and local health and sanitation laws and regulations; Knowledge of inventory procedures, team member time keeping systems and scheduling is required, either through education, training and/or experience; Strong employee relations, interpersonal, teamwork and verbal communication skills, including the ability to follow directions and give clear instructions to direct and motivate team members; For immediate consideration please send your resume to pfreeman@dawsoncareers.com
