About the Role As a Plant Manager at Wheatland Tube, a division of Zekelman Industries, you will play a critical role in leading overall plant operations to achieve financial objectives while driving continuous improvement across safety, lean manufacturing, productivity, quality, and cost initiatives. This position requires strong operational leadership, strategic planning, and people-development skills, and offers the opportunity to directly impact manufacturing performance, employee engagement, and business growth. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional partners including HR, Safety, Finance, Sales, and Maintenance, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality manufacturing operations while improving yields and output. This is a full-time, onsite role located in Warren, OH. This role is ideal for a results-driven manufacturing leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, values accountability and metrics, and leads with a strong safety and continuous-improvement mindset. What You'll Do Leads and promotes safe work practices in compliance with regulatory requirements and company safety policies. Develops and executes operating plans for current and upcoming months, proactively identifying risks, challenges, and improvement opportunities. Builds a performance-based culture focused on accountability, safety, metrics, and operational excellence. Provides clear organizational direction and communication aligned with corporate goals, objectives, and vision across all plant departments. Reviews daily operating reports to resolve manufacturing, maintenance, and operational issues while minimizing costs and preventing delays. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to resolve day-to-day issues and support continuous improvement initiatives. Formulates and implements production policies and programs impacting scheduling, quality, cost, and efficiency. Leads new manufacturing initiatives by applying lean principles, optimizing resources, and improving production systems and processes. Hires, coaches, develops, and evaluates employees to ensure strong leadership, high morale, teamwork, and positive labor relations. Delegates work effectively while ensuring compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and company procedures. Who You Are 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing leadership role, with proven success building and leading high-performing teams Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Engineering, or a technical field preferred Strong labor relations experience preferred Working knowledge of ISO standards Strong organizational, planning, and prioritization skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage all levels of the organization Results-driven, entrepreneurial leader with the ability to make sound decisions with urgency High ethical standards and a commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence What You'll Get Zekelman Industries offers competitive compensation and excellent benefits, including low-cost, high-quality medical and dental benefits.
