Job DescriptionThe Batch & Furnace Manager (Glass Manufacturing) is responsible for furnace and batch house operations, including environmental controls and maintenance. Ensuring effective management of the departments labor, equipment, maintenance, and expense budgets.
The Batch & Furnace Manager will:
Work in partnership with the Production and Quality Managers to produce glass containers while continuously improving levels of quality and efficiency.
Be accountable for supervising salary and hourly personnel engaged in all phases of plant's batch and furnace operation.
Manage incoming raw materials and glass formulas.
The Batch & Furnace Manager should have:
Glass furnace operation and large scale glass melting operations experienceExperience supervising employees, planning work schedules and directing assignments.
The ability to plan and coordinate all preventive maintenance activities.
Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement experience.
Qualifications Glass Furnace Operations and large-scale glass melting operations experience is required Demonstrated leadership abilities and strong interpersonal skills at all levels of the organization.
Bachelor's Degree in Ceramic, Chemical, Materials Science or related Engineering field preferredHS Diploma or GED is requiredAdditional InformationWhat we offer at

Salary Range:
The expected salary range for this position is between $80,000 - $110,000 and includes a possible 12% quarterly incentive bonus. Actual pay will be adjusted based upon candidate experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
