Excellent Career Growth Opportunities The Plant Manager is a key member of our team with a proven track record of managing a team and ensuring the safety, quality, productivity, and efficiency of the production and distribution plant, including its employees. The ideal candidate should have experience in the wire & cable industry and be able to create accountability and lead by example, while demonstrating strong team building, decision-making, and people management skills. As the Plant Manager, the responsibilities include overseeing the daily operations of the manufacturing plant and its employees, ensuring that the plant runs smoothly, efficiently, and safely. The Plant Manager will also manage a team of employees, hire and train new staff, and review production records to ensure that employees meet their performance expectations. Responsibilities Direct and coordinate plant-related operations across multiple shifts, ensuring a safe and effective operating environment while minimizing operating problems and enhancing efficiency and quality. Use continuous improvement methods to develop strategies that increase productivity and production, as well as improve plant safety. Support the hiring and training of personnel and foster a trained and motivated staff. Enable, coach, and guide effective teams to solve any problems that may arise. Ensure compliance and work with the production planner and supervisors to coordinate production activities and fulfill customer orders completely and promptly. Manage relationships and performance with materials, equipment, and service providers. Lead safety advocacy by recognizing, documenting, and correcting any safety issues to always maintain a safe work environment. Assist all teams with setting and tracking goals for all plant measures. Execute all company disciplinary procedures in collaboration with Human Resources. Maintain a team environment and high employee morale. Work with our facility partners to address any facility issues that may affect operations. Requirements A Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, management, or a related field. Valid Drivers License and reliable transportation Ability to be on-call in case of emergency due to a 24/7 operations Must pass pre-hire drug screening. Must pass pre-hire physical. Several years of experience in manufacturing, production, or operations management. Knowledge of industry-specific equipment, technology, and regulations. Skills in leadership, decision-making, problem-solving and communication. Certification or license in relevant areas, such as quality, safety, or project management. Ability to represent the company professionally both within and outside of the organization. Enjoy being part of a team and working in a cooperative environment.
