Description Job Description:
Plan, direct, and coordinate daily manufacturing operations in a wire and steel mesh production facility to meet production volume, quality, cost, and delivery requirements. Develop production schedules based on sales demand, available labor, and machine capacity for the manufacturing of structural mesh, building mesh, engineered structural mesh, and similar welded wire mesh reinforcement products. Monitor plant performance by reviewing production reports, equipment utilization, and labor allocation. Coordinate production activities with maintenance and engineering teams to address equipment downtime, production bottlenecks, and process constraints. Supervise department supervisors responsible for production, quality, maintenance, shipping, and continuous improvement. Analyze manufacturing processes and implement operational improvements to increase productivity, reduce waste, and control manufacturing costs. Coordinate with sales and supply chain teams to align production with customer demand. Ensure compliance with company policies, safety requirements, environmental regulations, and quality standards.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related engineering field. Thirty-six months of experience as a Plant Manager in a welded wire mesh facility producing structural, building, or engineered structural mesh, or similar reinforcement products for construction. Travel up to twenty days per year to company headquarters in The Woodlands, Texas; company storage facilities; vendor locations in the United States or Mexico; or affiliated operational sites in the United States or Colombia.
