Lead and oversee daily operations in chemical manufacturing, focusing on safety, quality, and continuous improvement. Manage workforce development, implement best practices, and support product development and process optimization.

Responsibilities:

Oversee daily chemical manufacturing operations, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards, and optimizing productivity, quality, and delivery performance. Ensure all team members are properly trained and oriented, maintaining a safe and effective work environment with a focus on associate well-being and environmental practices. Set operational priorities to meet business objectives and customer commitments, supporting departmental goals and driving continuous improvement initiatives. Monitor key performance metrics, identify improvement opportunities, and implement actions to enhance process and product quality. Drive cost, safety, and delivery improvements through targeted continuous improvement activities. Support product development and facilitate smooth transitions to commercial production, contributing to sales growth. Identify and assess new technologies and process improvements, collaborating with engineering and customers to evaluate, install, and validate equipment. Manage workforce planning, performance expectations, career development, and training, ensuring alignment with organizational standards and professional culture.

Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science degree or higher in Engineering or a related field. Minimum of 3-5 years of manufacturing experience in a management or supervisory role, preferably in chemical operations, mixing, finishing technologies, or web processing. Strong leadership, influencing, interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills. Proven problem-solving abilities to address equipment, scheduling, quality, safety, and personnel issues. Proficiency with manufacturing computer systems and standard desktop software applications. Experience and training in statistical methodology for problem solving and process control optimization. Operational practice and systems experience with relevant certifications (e.g., APICS, LEAN, Six Sigma). Willingness to perform additional duties as assigned and travel periodically to customers or suppliers as needed.
