Description:
This position is for a confidential company, who is opening up and expanding a new department for their electro-mechanical and wire harness division. Hence they are looking for a hands-on Manufacturing Manager to lead our wire harness and cable assembly operation. This person will own production output, quality, cost, and safety across cutting, termination, assembly, and test. You'll lead a team of supervisors, leads, and assemblers, and work closely with engineering, quality, and supply chain to deliver harnesses on time and to

standards. This position will work closely with the Operations Manager and President on decisions of material purchasing and customer communications, as well as technical troubleshooting of equipment. People with that strive to move from supervisor to the next higher position are encouraged to apply too. Key responsibilities Production and delivery Plan and run daily production across wire processing (cut, strip, crimp), sub-assembly, harness board layup, and final test Hit schedule attainment, on-time delivery, and output targets; manage capacity, staffing, and shift coverage Work with planning and purchasing to prevent material shortages and line stoppages Review labor time of production build and address as required. Lead daily or weekly production meetings and tiered accountability boards Quality Ensure all product meets
IPC/WHMA-A-620
(Class 2/3 as required) and customer specifications Own crimp quality controls, including pull testing, crimp height verification, and cross-sectioning programs Drive root cause and corrective action for defects, scrap, and customer returns Support customer and registrar audits (ISO 9001 / IATF 16949 / AS9100, as applicable) Continuous improvement and cost Reduce scrap, rework, and labor hours per unit; manage the department budget and labor efficiency Partner with manufacturing supervisors, technician and engineers on new product introductions, work instructions, tooling, and fixture/board design Evaluate automation and capital equipment opportunities (e.g., automatic cut/strip/crimp machines, testers) People and safety Lead, coach, and develop supervisors, leads, and assemblers; conduct performance reviews Build training and certification programs, including IPC-620 operator certification and crimp tooling training Maintain a safe workplace and enforce OSHA, ESD, and housekeeping standards Recruit, onboard, and retain skilled assembly talent Qualifications Requirements Electronics and/or assembly manufacturing required High level of computer skills, ERP and Microsoft Office, required Knowledge of IPC 610 and 620 standards. Supervisory experience required Strong statistical data analysis skills Advanced PC proficiency in MS Office, MS Outlook. Understanding of some type or ERP/MRP systems Experienced in soldering and wire harnesses Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects. Ability to work in a team environment and guide others. Strong problem solving, communication, and leadership skills. Strong Hands-on ability to work on equipment and software Experience Wire harness or electro-mechanical assembly related work Suitable candidates must possess 5 to 7 years of manufacturing support experience in the areas of production, supply chain, scheduling and planning Experience with production of cable assemblies and wire harnesses a must.
