(Job Responsibilities)POSITION SUMMARY
The Production Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing daily manufacturing operations to ensure production goals are met safely, efficiently, and on schedule. This role leads a production team of roughly 40 employees with 8 direct reports, manages resources, and drives continuous improvement to achieve quality, cost, and delivery objectives. The Production Manager collaborates closely with cross-functional partners—including Quality, Maintenance, Supply Chain, and Engineering—to ensure operational excellence and compliance with company standards, regulatory requirements, and safety policies.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for first shift safety, quality, delivery, and cost metrics within the Production areas of the plant, and the daily report of results Operate within approved budget boundaries and achieve operating performance targets, using VBS tools to drive continuous process improvements in quality, on-time delivery, cost savings, and inventory reduction Accountable for meeting needs of a growing business by managing production levels and using DRA to drive delivery and productivity Develop associates in a manner which meets the future needs of the business, identify key contributors and areas of organizational and individual development Conduct and deliver annual performance appraisals for hourly associates. Generate and support execution of development plans to drive associate growth Engage with associates to maintain positive associate relations, partnering with HR and utilizing tools such as associate engagement survey Maintain a clean and safe work environment that is in compliance with all OSHA (US), EPA (US), and any related country-specific environmental regulations and guidelines Work with Operations Manager to help uncover issues within the cell and support resolution and rollout of solutions Must be willing / able to work 1st and 2nd shift as needed for cross-training, consistency, etc. efforts Responsible for routine disciplinary action including administration of verbal and written warningsFIRST SIX MONTHS DELIVERABLES
