Job Summary We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant Plant Manager to join our manufacturing team. In this pivotal role, you will support the overall operations of the plant, ensuring production processes run smoothly, efficiently, and safely. You will collaborate closely with the Plant Manager and cross-functional teams to optimize manufacturing workflows, implement continuous improvement initiatives, and uphold quality standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop leadership skills while contributing to a dynamic production environment committed to excellence and innovation. Responsibilities Assist in overseeing daily plant operations, including production scheduling, quality control, and safety compliance. Support the implementation of lean manufacturing principles and process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce waste. Utilize
SAP, ERP
systems, and manufacturing management software to monitor production data, manage inventory levels, and facilitate supply chain coordination. Analyze Excel data reports related to production metrics, supply chain analytics, and process performance to identify opportunities for optimization. Collaborate with teams across manufacturing management, supply chain management, and maintenance to ensure seamless operations. Contribute to developing and executing production plans aligned with demand forecasts using MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems. Lead or support initiatives in Six Sigma projects aimed at reducing variability and improving product quality. Assist in managing production management systems for scheduling, resource allocation, and process control. Promote a culture of continuous improvement through team leadership, training, and cross-functional communication. Skills Strong background in production management, manufacturing management, and operations management within a manufacturing environment. Proficiency in
SAP, ERP
systems, MRP software, and Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting. Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles such as lean management and lean manufacturing techniques. Experience with process improvement methodologies including Six Sigma and continuous improvement strategies. Mechanical knowledge relevant to manufacturing equipment maintenance and assembly processes. Excellent team leadership skills with the ability to motivate staff and foster cross-functional collaboration. Effective communication skills for liaising across departments such as supply chain management, quality control, and operations teams. Familiarity with quality control standards and practices within a manufacturing setting.
