Carolina Ingredients is currently looking for an Operations Manager in the food manufacturing/distribution industry who is passionate about creating value, building partnerships, finding innovative solutions and who has a "get it done right" attitude.

Job Summary:

• Manage the operational and fiscal activities of the production and warehouse departments.
• Drive procedures and policies to improve the operating quality, efficiency and safety of the department.
• Supervise staff in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Responsible for training and coaching employees.
• Work with all departments as a team to create value to our customers by having safe working conditions, consistent quality and adherence to all company policies.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Duties will include, but are not limited to the following:

• Manage the daily operational and fiscal activities to ensure adherence to schedules and quality standards.
• Manage and be accountable for the KPIs established for the production and warehouse teams.
• Updating KPI's on the Weekly Flash Report and reporting the data to the SMT weekly.
• Analyze and document manufacturing processes and problems. Develop solutions to enhance efficiencies, reduce labor costs, and manage a seamless production operation.
• Coordinate and implement solutions which involve the warehouse department, customer service department, quality assurance department.
• Manage staff in a manner which creates streamlining principles that lead to manufacturing quality products.
• Supervise staff in accordance with company policies and procedures
• Establish employee goals and conduct employee performance reviews.
• Responsible for staff scheduling to include work assignments/rotations, employee training, employee vacations, employee breaks, overtime assignment, back-up for absent employees, and shift rotations.
• Participate in weekly production meetings.
• Communicate with Supervisors, Managers, Sales and operational employees.
• Complete safety, quality and production paperwork.
• Responsible for managing and maintaining food safety in the facility.
• Assist Quality Control Supervisor in all needs to maintain SQF certification.

Minimum Qualifications :

• 5-year supervision of a minimum of 5 employees
• 4-year degree in Business Administration or equivalent related field preferred
• Work requires willingness to work a flexible schedule, a sense of urgency and the ability to accept accountability

Work Environment:

• Work is done in an office setting with frequent production environment exposure which includes noise, dust, moving machinery, forklifts, and fluctuations in temperature.

Physical Requirements :

• Standing at a workstation for extended periods of time
• Stand, walk, climb stairs on a frequent basis
• Must be able to lift 20 pounds on an infrequent basis

$95,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
