Job Description
Summary
- Directs and coordinates manufacturing activities by performing duties personally or through subordinate supervisors or staff.
- Ensure the safe use of equipment and schedule regular maintenance.
- Check production output according to specifications.
- Submit reports on performance and progress.
- Coordinates and monitors manufacturing projects from initiation through delivery.
- Identifies and allocates project resources.
- Serves as liaison between manufacturing and non-manufacturing departments in order to ensure that all targets and requirements are met.
- Acts on order releases action and exception messages from the company system.
- Interfaces with manufacturing personnel, the purchasing department and supervisors on material status and production planning issues.
- Ensures projects are completed on schedule and within budget.
- Resolves issues and contributes to the business unit/area development.
- Monitors and maintains department productivity and budgets.
- Manages the work efforts of supervisors/individual contributors.
- Displays broad knowledge of the field with strong leadership skills.

Education and/or Experience- Associates degree; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Language Skills
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
- Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. .
- Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors. Mathematical Skills
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Reasoning Ability
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Computer Skills
