Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Plant Manager specializing in the automotive sector to lead our manufacturing operations. In this pivotal role, you will oversee all aspects of plant management, ensuring efficient production processes, high-quality output, and continuous improvement initiatives. Your leadership will drive operational excellence, foster a safety-first environment, and enhance supply chain integration. This position offers an exciting opportunity to influence manufacturing strategies and optimize plant performance in a fast-paced automotive environment. The General Manager / Plant Manager is the senior operating leader for Teknia Nashville and is responsible for the overall performance, profitability, customer satisfaction, safety, quality, delivery, cost, people, and continuous improvement of the facility. The position provides leadership across all plant functions and shifts, personally and through subordinate managers and supervisors, and serves as the primary operational representative between Teknia Nashville, Teknia Corporate, customers, suppliers, and other key stakeholders. The role has responsibility for execution of the plant business plan, operating budget, staffing strategy, manufacturing performance, maintenance and facilities, quality systems, customer requirements, commercial support, and risk escalation. The General Manager / Plant Manager is expected to establish accountability throughout the organization and ensure that plant decisions support both customer requirements and the long-term sustainability of the business.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Leadership and Organizational Management Provide overall leadership and direction for the Nashville operation across all departments and shifts. Lead, coach, and hold managers and supervisors accountable for safety, quality, delivery, cost, people, and continuous-improvement results. Ensure appropriate organizational structure and staffing are maintained to meet customer requirements and the approved business plan. Participate in interviewing, hiring, performance management, succession planning, compensation recommendations, disciplinary actions, and resolution of employee concerns in accordance with company policy and applicable law. Establish clear responsibilities, measurable objectives, job descriptions, training requirements, and accountability for plant personnel. Conduct regular management and operational review meetings to evaluate performance, assign corrective actions, verify effectiveness, and remove barriers to achieving objectives. Business, Financial and Commercial Management Own plant profitability and operating performance, including execution of the annual business plan, budget, forecast, and corrective actions required when financial or operational objectives are not achieved. Review and analyze P&L statements, sales, labor, material, scrap, premium freight, overtime, inventory, OEE, product costs, quotations, and other operating reports to identify risks and improvement opportunities. Establish financial measures of accountability and drive cost reduction, productivity, throughput, quality, and waste-elimination initiatives. Control non-fixed and discretionary operating costs and ensure expenditures are consistent with approved budgets and business requirements. Support customer commercial activities, including cost reviews, quotations, pricing discussions, commercial recovery, and escalation of material business risks to Corporate management. Support the growth of Teknia's U.S. business through customer development, new-business opportunities, program extensions, expansions, and acquisition-related activities as assigned by Corporate management. Operations, Production and Delivery Ensure production plans, schedules, staffing, material availability, equipment capability, and priorities are aligned to meet customer demand and delivery requirements. Review daily and longer-term production performance and resolve operational constraints, manufacturing problems, bottlenecks, downtime, and capacity risks. Ensure effective management of takt/cycle time, OEE, changeovers, WIP, labor utilization, overtime, throughput, material flow, inventory, and production efficiency. Maintain appropriate contingency and escalation processes for customer delivery risks and ensure customers and Corporate management are informed when significant risks arise. Drive fact-based daily management using defined KPIs, clear action ownership, due dates, and management verification before closure. Quality and Customer Satisfaction Ensure compliance with customer-specific requirements, the quality policy, applicable automotive quality standards, and Teknia procedures. Maintain authority to stop production or place suspect product on hold when quality or customer requirements may be at risk. Ensure effective containment, root-cause analysis, corrective action, scrap/rework reduction, and prevention of recurring customer concerns. Participate directly in customer escalations, audits, supplier scorecard reviews, and corrective-action activities as required. Support APQP, new-product introduction, launch readiness, contract review, and cross-functional quality planning. Ensure quality-system performance is reviewed regularly and that internal and external audit findings are addressed effectively. Maintenance, Tooling, Engineering and Facilities Maintain overall responsibility for plant and facility maintenance, improvements, expansions, and emergency repair requirements. Ensure equipment, tooling, dies, automation, utilities, and facility infrastructure are maintained and capable of supporting safe, reliable, and efficient production. Coordinate internal engineering, maintenance, tooling resources, and external contractors/suppliers as required to execute plant priorities. Review equipment utilization, recurring downtime, tooling performance, and maintenance effectiveness and ensure permanent corrective actions are implemented. Lead or sponsor special equipment, automation, capital, facility, and productivity-improvement projects assigned to the Nashville operation. Safety, Environmental and Compliance Provide a work environment that prioritizes employee safety, regulatory compliance, housekeeping, and environmental responsibility. Ensure compliance with applicableTOSHA/OSHA
requirements, lockout/tagout, emergency plans, environmental requirements, contractor safety requirements, and other plant safety systems. Ensure the Environmental Management System is integrated into business processes, adequately resourced, effective, and maintained in accordance with the currentISO 14001
requirements. Ensure safety and environmental concerns are corrected promptly and appropriate escalation occurs when significant risk exists. People Development and Continuous Improvement Promote teamwork, employee engagement, empowerment, accountability, and a culture of continuous improvement. Ensure employees receive appropriate job-specific training and that competency/certification requirements are documented and maintained. Drive measurable annual improvement in productivity, premium costs, overtime, throughput, quality, scrap/rework, equipment reliability, and other key operating metrics. Develop the leadership team and organizational capability necessary to sustain plant performance and support future growth. Corporate Governance and Communication Serve as the primary on-site operating representative for Teknia Nashville and maintain effective communication with Teknia Corporate and Business Unit leadership. Escalate significant operational, financial, customer, legal, commercial, safety, quality, and supply-chain risks to the appropriate Corporate leadership. Implement Corporate policies, strategic initiatives, and approved business objectives while ensuring local execution complies with U.S. legal and regulatory requirements. Provide accurate and timely reporting of plant performance, forecasts, risks, corrective actions, and major business developments. Remain available to support significant plant or customer issues outside normal working hours when business continuity requires management involvement.AUTHORITY
Authority to direct plant operations and establish operating priorities consistent with Corporate strategy and approved budgets. Authority to stop production, place product on hold, or initiate containment when safety, quality, customer, or compliance requirements are at risk. Authority to approve staffing and operating expenditures within established company approval limits and to recommend salary adjustments, capital expenditures, and organizational changes requiring higher approval. Authority and responsibility to require corrective action from plant functions when performance does not meet established expectations.QUALIFICATIONS

Education and/or Experience Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, operations, manufacturing, or a related field preferred; or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. Ten to fifteen years of progressively responsible manufacturing experience, with significant leadership experience in automotive or a comparable high-volume manufacturing environment preferred. Demonstrated experience leading plant operations, financial performance, customer relationships, continuous improvement, and cross-functional teams. Knowledge and Skills Strong working knowledge of manufacturing operations, P&L management, budgeting, forecasting, labor management, quality systems, maintenance, tooling, supply chain, and continuous improvement. Ability to analyze complex business and operational data, establish facts, identify root causes, evaluate risk, and make sound decisions. Ability to communicate effectively with employees, managers, Corporate leadership, customers, suppliers, auditors, and other stakeholders. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, procedures, corrective-action plans, and executive-level presentations. Working knowledge of automotive customer requirements and applicable quality, safety, and environmental management systems.PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
The position requires regular presence in both office and manufacturing environments. The employee may be required to stand, walk, sit, climb stairs, enter production and maintenance areas, and inspect equipment or processes. The manufacturing environment may include moving mechanical equipment, noise, fumes, airborne particles, chemicals, heat, and vibration. Required PPE must be worn in designated areas.
