Director of Operations or Plant Manager Position Summary The Manufacturing Manager is responsible for leading daily manufacturing operations to ensure the safe, efficient, and cost-effective production of liquid cooling systems. This role oversees production personnel, implements continuous improvement initiatives, ensures quality standards are met, and collaborates with engineering, supply chain, and quality teams to meet production goals. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Lead and supervise daily manufacturing operations and production staff. Develop production schedules to meet customer demand and delivery deadlines. Ensure products are manufactured according to engineering specifications and quality standards. Monitor production metrics, including productivity, efficiency, scrap, and downtime. Implement Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives to improve operational performance. Manage staffing, training, coaching, and performance evaluations for production employees. Maintain compliance with OSHA safety regulations and company safety policies. Partner with Engineering to support new product introductions and process improvements. Coordinate with Supply Chain to ensure material availability and inventory accuracy. Resolve production issues and implement corrective actions to minimize disruptions. Monitor manufacturing costs and identify opportunities for cost reduction. Prepare reports on production performance, labor utilization, and key performance indicators (KPIs). Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience). 5-10 years of manufacturing leadership experience. Experience managing production teams in a manufacturing environment. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, or other continuous improvement methodologies. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to analyze production data and make operational decisions. Preferred Qualifications Experience in cooling systems, HVAC, electronics manufacturing, or industrial equipment. Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification. Experience with
ISO 9001
quality systems. Knowledge of mechanical assembly, piping, electrical assembly, and manufacturing best practices.
