Job Description
Responsibilities Direct all manufacturing functions including production, engineering, mining, maintenance and administrative functions. Plan for capital improvements and projects. Establish effective employee relations to ensure the availability of a well-trained and motivated work force. Maintain a safe working environment and an atmosphere of continuous improvement, with a heavy focus on MSHA. Develop subordinates, as well as direct, train, supervise, schedule and overall management of the operation to ensure quality output at minimum cost. Regularly interface with sales, marketing and customer service to ensure customers' needs are being met. Responsible for maintaining production rates to best utilize equipment and labor while managing costs. Oversee planning and execution to ensure long term goals and objectives are met. Has involvement with other special projects as assigned. Qualifications BS in related technical field or business field 10+ years of management experience in an industry-related field Must have the ability to manage and balance plant-wide production and maintenance needs. Must have a strong customer focus for both internal and external customers. Strong oral and written communication skills and a demonstrated balance between analytical and creative thinking. Must demonstrate a willingness to challenge conventional ideas and to be flexible and be able to function effectively in a team environment.
