This role requires hands-on experience in a manufacturing shop environment, wood framing, CNC machinery, material handling, production flow, quality control, and leading a team. You will manage production schedules, supervise shop staff, maintain equipment, uphold safety standards, and complete daily logs. Responsibilities Oversee daily operations of the prefabrication shop, warehouse, and yard Manage a team of assemblers, machine operators, forklift drivers, and QC staff Maintain workflow and production sequencing for wall panels, floor cassettes, roof systems, and other prefabricated components Operate or supervise operation of CNC equipment used for cutting, routing, drilling, and framing layouts Coordinate material receiving, inventory control, stock rotation, and staging for production Create and maintain dailylogs documenting manpower, production output, materials used, machine issues, safety notes, and delays Support development of production schedules and ensure crews meet daily targets Monitor quality standards for framing, fastening, layout accuracy, tolerance checks, and component labeling Enforce safety protocols, conduct toolbox talks, and maintain compliance with OSHA and company standards Promote continuous improvement, lean workflow, and waste reduction Coordinate maintenance, calibration, and safe operation of CNC machines, saws, compressors, forklifts, and other equipment Work closely with project managers, engineering, design staff, and installation teams to ensure accurate fabrication Manage loading and logistics for deliveries to job sites Track production KPIs and provide weekly updates to leadership Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient shop environment Required Qualifications Minimum 5-10 years of experience in a manufacturing shop or prefabrication facility Experience in wood framing, panelized construction, or off-site construction Hands-on experience with CNC machines, automated saws, or similar equipment Strong leadership skills and experience managing crew members in a shop environment Ability to read and understand construction drawings and shop drawings Experience completing dailylogs or production documentation Strong understanding of quality control and production workflow Ability to lift materials, operate machinery, and work in a physical shop environment Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Strong commitment to safety Preferred Qualifications Experience with off-site building systems such as wall panels, floor cassettes, or modular structures Familiarity with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement practices Forklift certification (or ability to obtain) Basic digital skills for logging production data and communicating with project teams Experience working with BIM-generated shop drawings or design files Pay Range Competitive salary range: 62,000 to 90,000 dollars per year, depending on experience Schedule Full-time, Monday to Friday Early morning start times depending on production schedule Occasional weekends during high-volume periods Work Location On-site at our prefabrication shop Tacoma, WA Experience Manufacturing shop or prefabrication facility: 5 years (Preferred)
