This role helps maintain safe, efficient, and organized workflow while ensuring finished products meet company quality standards, customer requirements, and production schedules. Responsibilities
- Support wire, cable, and connector termination processes include crimping, soldering, connector loading, pin insertion, ferrule installation, and related assembly steps as applicable.
- Verify terminations meet drawings, work instructions, customer specifications, pull-test requirements, polarity, pin location, orientation, and visual quality standards.
- Ensure correct tools, applicators, dies, terminals, contacts, connectors, seals, and wire sizes are used for each job.
- Monitor workmanship for defects such as loose crimps, damaged insulation, exposed strands, incorrect strip length, misloaded pins, poor solder joints, or incomplete seating.
- Support wire processing operations including cutting, stripping, marking, and preparation of wires and cables for downstream assembly.
- Verify wire type, gauge, color, length, strip dimensions, printing, and quantities against cut sheets, bills of material, and work instructions.
- Lead, direct, and support assigned employees to meet daily production, quality, and shipping priorities.
- Assign work, monitor progress, and help resolve production, quality, material, and workflow issues.
- Train team members on work instructions, safety procedures, quality requirements, and material handling practices.
- Perform final inspection of finished products, assemblies, parts, or shipments to verify compliance with drawings, specifications, work orders, customer requirements, and company quality standards.
- Use appropriate inspection tools and equipment such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, test fixtures, visual standards, and other measurement devices as required.
- Review documentation, inspection records, labels, packaging, and job travelers for accuracy and completeness before product release.
- Receive, move, stage, store, and deliver raw materials, components, work-in-process, and finished goods to support production and shipping needs.
- Verify part numbers, quantities, labels, and locations to maintain inventory accuracy.
- Pick and stage materials for internal production.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, carts, scales, scanners, or other material handling equipment as authorized and trained.
- Support injection molding operations by ensuring operators have the materials, components, tooling, inserts, and work instructions needed to meet production requirements.
- Monitor molded parts for visual defects such as short shots, flash, contamination, burn marks, sink, voids, discoloration, or dimensional concerns.
