Coating & Laminating Location:
Green Bay, WI Area Salary:
$95,000-$120,000 per year

Schedule:
4-day production week About the Position We are a well-established paper and film coating and laminating manufacturer looking for an experienced Plant Manager to lead our production operation. This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who understands manufacturing equipment and processes and enjoys being involved on the plant floor. You will oversee daily operations while also serving as the technical lead for coating formulas, machine settings, quality, scheduling, and process improvement. Our facility operates four production lines and serves long-standing customers with consistent demand. This is an opportunity to step into an important leadership role with a stable company and work directly with ownership. What You'll Do Lead day-to-day plant operations across two production shifts Supervise, train, and develop production employees Build production and machine schedules to meet customer deadlines Set and troubleshoot coating formulas, dilutions, machine speeds, temperatures, impressions, and gravure roll selections Monitor production quality and make adjustments when needed Oversee quality checks and product acceptance Investigate customer quality concerns and help identify solutions Manage raw material ordering, inventory levels, and plant supplies Maintain required FDA, CPDS, emissions, and other regulatory documentation Lead plant safety programs and employee training Handle employee performance issues and help maintain accountability on the production floor Track production costs, coat weights, machine speeds, material usage, and overall efficiency Identify opportunities to improve quality, productivity, and plant performance What We're Looking For Ideal candidates will have: 5+ years of experience in coating, laminating, converting, wide-web printing, paper manufacturing, or a closely related manufacturing environment Strong hands-on knowledge of manufacturing equipment and coating processes Experience leading employees in a multi-shift production environment Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Ability to balance plant leadership responsibilities with hands-on technical work Good communication and organizational skills Experience with FDA and CPDS requirements is a plus A bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Paper Science, Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry , or a related field is preferred. Equivalent hands-on industry experience will also be considered.
