This role manages one or more production areas in a Business Unit(s) to ensure that safety, quality, volume, cost, and waste standards are achieved and follows overall production schedules to manage staffing and establish daily and shift production goals. It also monitors shift production metrics to identify and resolve issues and implement process improvements and coordinates maintenance, turnarounds, and downtime for efficiency and speed. It will also oversee manufacturing financial information and budgets, evaluating resources, management of supply chain and inventory, and coordinate of quality and supplies. Responsibilities Manages one or more production areas in a Business Unit(s) to ensure that safety, quality, volume, cost, and waste standards are achieved Develops and monitors Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to achieve optimal productivity and cost Creates, recommends, implements and adjusts department annual operating plan Coordinates with production, purchasing, and inventory to determine cost of inventory, warehousing, replenishment time, and costs Evaluates products and processes for improvement and implements continuous improvement initiatives when applicable Manages the Quality Management System for the Business Unit in accordance with the company's
