Job Description

Production ManagerPosition OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead high-speed manufacturing operations for consumer products. The role is responsible for planning and executing production schedules, managing SKU complexity, maintaining ERP-driven production processes, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring on-time delivery, quality, safety, and cost targets. The ideal candidate combines hands-on manufacturing expertise with strong leadership, planning skills, and a track record of process optimization in consumer goods environments.

Key ResponsibilitiesLead day-to-day operations of high-speed production lines to meet safety, quality, and output targets while minimizing downtime.

Develop and maintain production planning and scheduling using ERP systems to ensure efficient material flow and on-time order fulfillment.

Manage SKU lifecycle and complexity: coordinate line changeovers, bill of materials, and master data in the ERP to optimize throughput.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen) to reduce waste, increase yield, and improve overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).Coordinate cross-functional activities (planning, procurement, quality, maintenance, R D, and logistics) to resolve production issues and support new product introductions.

Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) including throughput, yield, on-time delivery, scrap, and cost per unit; implement corrective actions as needed.

Lead and develop production teams: hire, train, coach, and evaluate supervisors and operators to sustain high performance and engagement.

Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and quality standards across production areas; lead root-cause analyses for quality or safety incidents.

Manage production budgets and drive cost improvement programs while maintaining product quality and customer service levels.

Support ERP data integrity and master data governance, ensuring accurate production records, routings, and inventory transactions.

QualificationsBachelors degree preferred5+ years of progressive production management experience in high-speed manufacturing environments, preferably in consumer products.

Proven experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) for production planning, MRP, and master data management.

Strong production planning skills with demonstrable experience managing complex SKU portfolios and scheduling high-mix, high-volume lines.

Demonstrated success leading continuous improvement programs (Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen) with measurable results in OEE, waste reduction, or cost savings.

Solid knowledge of quality systems and regulatory requirements relevant to consumer packaged goods.

Excellent leadership and people management skills, with experience building high-performing teams and driving cultural change.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills; comfortable using data to drive decisions and present results to stakeholders.
