Description:
Lockheed Martin is seeking a Manufacturing Vehicle Lead to guide assembly, integration, and test activities across all build phases. In this role, you will lead day-to-day production efforts for multiple vehicle builds. You will coordinate across integrated product teams (IPTs) and support organizations to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule. This position combines operational leadership, technical coordination, and disciplined execution in a fast-moving manufacturing environment. Key Duties / Responsibilities Lead daily operations for multiple assembly builds Coordinate activities across IPTs and supporting organizations Plan and oversee vehicle-level integration and test activities Support anomaly resolution and out-of-sequence work within the facility Balance technical, cost, and schedule considerations when making operational decisions Promote strong organization, communication, and teamwork Support production, planning, quality, systems, manufacturing, equipment, materials, and process improvement efforts Facilitate team-based work and collaborate with internal and external customers on planning, problem resolution, and process improvement Provide training or guidance in core skill areas when needed Work Environment This role is based in a team-oriented manufacturing setting. The pace is fast, and priorities may shift based on production needs. You will work closely with cross-functional partners including Engineering, Quality, Production Planning, and other support teams. The role requires strong coordination, clear communication, and the ability to manage multiple activities at once while maintaining process discipline and safety standards.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combined education and experience (minimum of 3 years of relevant experience) Experience working in a manufacturing environment Understanding of lean manufacturing principles Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex technical topics to different audiences Working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools Experience managing cost, quality, and schedule metrics Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance; Interim Secret to start
Desired Skills:
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build productive working relationships Demonstrated technical writing experience Experience serving in a product ownership role, including authoring and maintaining authorization documents, providing shop floor support, and solving problems in partnership with Quality, Engineering, and other teams Ability to maintain process discipline in a fast-paced environment Team leadership or project management experience leading cross-functional teams Experience with Microsoft Project Demonstrated initiative and willingness to take on new challenges Understanding of systems thinking principles

Work Schedules:
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees.
