Summary We are seeking a skilled 2nd Shift Plant Superintendent to oversee our manufacturing operations in Searcy, AR . The Plant Superintendent will be responsible for managing plant production, ensuring efficiency, and maintaining safety standards, along with identifying initiatives to improve company culture and employee engagement. This position provides a pathway to becoming the Plant Manager within the next few years. Responsibilities Support regulatory and internal processes: Employee and Plant Safety, Food Safety and Quality Initiatives, HR and Process Controls. Ensure completion of RedZone Initiatives utilizing Kaizens, DLMP's, and lean processes. Develop, manage, and complete departmental project work linked to company objectives and goals. Ensure completion of appropriate CAPEX plans to support new business, profitability and asset maintenance. Direct, coach, and develop supervisory team to align their work with long-term goals, and alignment with the company's strategic direction. Set direct report goals in training and development, performance, and succession planning. Collaborate with plant management and cross-functional teams to set direction, accountability, and achieve results. Drive adherence to all food safety and quality programs to ensure food safety and quality. Qualifications Minimum 5 years of operational/manufacturing experience; food industry preferred. Bachelor's degree in business administration, operations management, food science, meat science or related field required. HACCP Certification, Lean/Six Sigma Certification preferred. Food manufacturing process preferred; supervisory/managerial experience required. Available to work 2pm-12am. 25% local and or overnight travel is required.
