A Production Shift Supervisor oversees employees working on multiple production lines. Assigns tasks and adjusts workloads to meet production goals, schedules and monitors training and assess progress of the employees, monitors production quality and uses leadership skills to solve problems with employees.

We are looking for an experienced, dedicated, career-focused Production Shift Supervisor , with a passion for people and baking, to support our growing business. This position supervises and coordinates activities of the production staff and assists with improving efficiency of the production floor while complying with safety and quality assurance standards. Reports to the Plant Manager.
Compensation & Schedule:
$54,000-$65,000 per year, depending on experience. Full-time, salaried (exempt), on-site; 2nd shift.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervise and coordinate activities of the production staff and assist with improving efficiency of the production floor. Supervise and coordinate activities of the warehouse personnel when shipping leadership coverage is not staffed (typically late shifts /weekends). Plan and coordinate activities to meet production schedule and ensure products are in compliance with all applicable specifications. Responsible for control of budgeted areas such as overtime, waste of raw material and finished goods, yield, efficiency, and expense. Follow all HACCP program requirements to prevent system failures and ensure compliance with all Good Manufacturing Practices and customer requirements. Facilitate programs in training, safety, communications, and employee development. Hold team members accountable for their responsibilities. Maintain accurate records (e.g. production reports, assigned documents required by SQF, training, safety and work instructions). Conduct performance evaluations of team members. Resolve employee issues and document disciplinary actions. Maintain high productivity and cost effectiveness through proper scheduling of production, manpower, downtime for sanitation and maintenance. Daily review and analysis of production data. Recommend solutions and/or initiate actions to further increase efficiency, improve quality and reduce cost. Daily walk through of the facility and follow up with corrective actions of issues identified in the inspection.
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent; an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will also be considered. Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing, to interpret and complete safety, quality, and SQF documentation. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), data entry, and basic math skills. Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills to interface with management, employees, and business partners in a competent, productive manner. Minimum 2-3 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing or production environment required (food or beverage manufacturing preferred). Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs, with or without reasonable accommodation. What you can expect from us.
