What You'll Do

Actively participate and assist in leading team with CMC Safety Programs and proactively uphold the CMC Safety Culture (Take 2, Observation Cards and Personal Protection Equipment (PPE)

Plan and attend required staffing and safety meetings

Must champion Safety and promote safety by example in all aspects of the operations

Ensure incoming scrap meets or exceeds quality expectations

Oversee Mill Services yard operations

Supervise and manage direct report(s)

Enter inventory control data into SAP

Maintain appropriate scrap inventory by commodities

Maintain inventory accuracy metrics and associated reports for management

Provide a daily/weekly scrap inventory report to Melt Shop Management

Communicate important shift information, production issues, concerns and needs with proper personnel

What You'll Need

Ability to work as a team player in a fast paced environment, with strong work ethic, attention to details and find root causes for issues

Ability to work with exposure to extreme temperatures, chemicals, dust fumes and mists, uneven surfaces, loud noise, elevated work areas, and confined spaces

Minimum 3 years of field experience in either heavy industrial operations and/or manufacturing environment strongly preferred

Experience managing people and budgets

Experience in Inventory Control

Proficient in MS Office programs - Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint

Ability to track, chart, and improve processes

Ability to communicate both written and verbally with customers, employees, and business leaders

Able to remain calm in pressure situations and adapt quickly to change

Must be able to work overtime, either planned or unplanned for emergency situations

Your Education

High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience is required

4-Year College Degree preferred
