United Foods International (USA), Inc. , specialized in private label food processing and packaging is looking for qualified candidates for Production Supervisor (2nd or 3rd shift) at our newest facility in Laveen, AZ. Must have a proven track record in supervising Food Manufacturing production. This is a

HANDS-ON

position and you will be spending most of your time in the production areas, not in office.

Job Summary:

Responsible for the production operation and maintenance. Ensures that products are produced efficiently; that they are of the right quality, quantity and cost; and that they are produced on time, to the satisfaction of the customer, at the right place.

Responsibilities:

Coordinates, sets up and implements standard operating procedure for all the production operations Supervises the adherence to prescribed procedures to ensure first pass quality meets or exceeds planned goals Tracks competencies of subordinates and provides leadership and development as required to achieve the objectives Reviews the operation of plant equipment and systems constantly, to minimize unplanned downtime, anticipate solve problems in timely manner, and to identify opportunities for improvement Confers with other departments to ensure coordination of purchasing, production and shipping Directs, maintains, and enforces the health and safety program, OSHA compliances as well as UFI GMP's for the production team; reviews safety records to uphold standards of maximum safety for all production employees Implements programs and procedures required to ensure plant cleanliness, and assists with planning and implementing plant improvements and expansions Communicates with Maintenance and Operations Departments to coordinate maintenance and repair work in process areas Attends corporate trainings and meetings as needed Other duties will be assigned

Qualifications:

Proven track record in managing production operations (MUST have experience in Food Manufacturing Industry) Must be able to work Monday to Friday, from 3:30 pm to 12 am (2nd shift) or 12 am to 8:30 am (3rd shift) Significant manufacturing knowledge as well as advanced interpersonal and supervisory skills Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, set priorities, identify and address problems and meeting deadlines Solid understanding of electrical systems and plumbing Nice to have experience in working with boiler, steam, chilled water system, air compressor and system Experience and knowledge in Plant Design using CAD software is a big plus Speaking, reading and writing skills in Spanish a plus Established in 1988 as a subsidiary of Senba Foods Co., Ltd. in Japan, United Foods International (USA), Inc. - formerly Senba USA, Inc. - has been specialized in custom food manufacturing of sauces, seasonings and dry mixes for retail, wholesale, food service and industrial needs for over 35 years.
