Job Description

Position Summary The Production Manager is responsible for overseeing daily beverage production operations to ensure production goals are met safely, efficiently, and in accordance with Company quality, food safety, and operational standards. This position provides leadership to production supervisors, team leads, and employees and works closely with Quality, Maintenance, Warehouse, Sanitation, and Human Resources. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Oversee daily production operations, staffing, workflow, and production schedules. Lead and provide direction to Production Supervisors, Team Leads, and production employees. Monitor production output, efficiency, downtime, waste, labor utilization, and product quality. Coordinate employee meal and rest breaks while maintaining adequate production coverage and ensuring required breaks are provided. Coordinate production startups, shutdowns, changeovers, and other daily production activities. Communicate schedule changes, overtime needs, early starts, cancellations, and other operational changes to affected employees in a timely manner. Maintain reasonable availability outside of regularly scheduled hours when necessary to address schedule changes, staffing issues, or other time-sensitive production matters. Work closely with Maintenance to address equipment issues and production downtime. Partner with Quality Assurance to ensure compliance with product specifications, GMPs, food safety requirements, and quality standards. Ensure employees follow Company safety procedures, SOPs, GMPs, and established work practices. Conduct routine production-floor walkthroughs and address safety, quality, housekeeping, staffing, and operational concerns. Identify production problems and implement corrective actions to improve efficiency and reduce downtime, waste, and product loss. Ensure production records, reports, and required documentation are completed accurately. Train, coach, and develop production supervisors and employees and hold employees accountable for performance, attendance, safety, quality, and conduct. Partner with Human Resources on staffing, employee relations, performance management, corrective action, and training. Promote effective communication between shifts and departments. Support audits, continuous improvement initiatives, and other operational projects. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree in Manufacturing, Operations, Engineering, Business, Food Science, or related field preferred. At least 5 years of manufacturing experience, preferably in beverage, food, bottling, packaging, or a similar high-volume environment. At least 2-3 years of production leadership or management experience preferred. Knowledge of GMPs, food safety, manufacturing safety, and production practices. Experience with beverage processing, batching, filling, packaging, CIP systems, or related equipment preferred. Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and production-related systems. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred. Work Schedule & Physical Requirements This position requires flexibility based on production and staffing needs. Occasional work or communication outside of the regular schedule may be required to address schedule changes, staffing needs, or operational issues. The position requires regular presence on the production floor, including standing and walking for extended periods and working around manufacturing equipment, noise, wet surfaces, forklifts, and varying temperatures. Required PPE must be worn at all times.
Pay:
From $26.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 - 48.0 per week
