Job Description

Auto Detail Shop - Fontana, CA Position Summary We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Auto Detail Lead to oversee daily operations within a fast-paced, high-volume auto detail facility. The Auto Detail Lead will supervise a team of approximately 5-10 employees , coordinate workflow across multiple production areas, and ensure that daily productivity, quality, safety, and operational standards are consistently achieved. The ideal candidate is a strong and approachable leader with experience supervising employees in a production-driven environment. This individual should be comfortable working on the floor, addressing operational challenges in real time, coaching team members, and communicating effectively with both employees and management.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of 5-10 detail shop employees across multiple production areas. Oversee workflow across Inbound Vehicle Lanes, Quality Control Lanes , and other operational areas as needed. Monitor daily production levels and ensure team goals, quality standards, and operational deadlines are consistently met. Conduct quality checks and address issues promptly to maintain company standards. Train, coach, and provide ongoing feedback to team members to improve performance, productivity, and efficiency. Assign tasks and adjust staffing throughout the day based on workflow and business needs. Identify operational issues and communicate high-priority matters to upper management in a timely manner. Promote a positive, professional, and team-oriented work environment. Enforce company safety procedures and ensure employees follow all workplace policies and guidelines. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment throughout the facility. Assist with resolving employee concerns and workplace conflicts professionally and effectively. Monitor attendance, punctuality, productivity, and overall employee performance. Support management with operational initiatives, process improvements, and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Minimum 1 year of leadership or supervisory experience in an auto detail, quality control, inventory, warehouse, production, or similar environment. Previous experience supervising or leading a team of 5-10 employees in a fast-paced, production-driven setting. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Bilingual in English and Spanish required. Ability to effectively coach, motivate, and hold team members accountable. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Ability to multitask and manage multiple workflows simultaneously. Comfortable working in a hands-on, floor-based leadership role. Ability to work effectively in both indoor and outdoor environments . Ability to stand, walk, and remain active for extended periods. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety. Employment Requirements Successful completion of a background check . Ability to successfully pass a drug screening . Work Environment High-volume, fast-paced auto detail facility. Combination of indoor and outdoor work environments . Exposure to water, cleaning/detailing chemicals, vehicles, and varying weather conditions. Frequent standing, walking, and movement throughout the facility. Regular interaction with employees, management, and operational teams.
Pay:
$22.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
