Job DescriptionAvery Dennison is seeking a dynamic Production Supervisor to lead our manufacturing operations toward excellence. In this role, you will be the driving force behind a safe, high-quality, and efficient production environment. You will lead by example, fostering a culture of Self Leadership and Teamwork while ensuring our products meet the rigorous standards our customers expect.

Roles and ResponsibilitiesAs a key member of the Plant Leadership Team, you will produce and deliver high-quality products by effectively planning, organizing, and evaluating manufacturing and labor functions within budget. Your primary focus will be to:
Lead Operations:
Implement "Lean" manufacturing and ELS (Enterprise Lean Sigma) practices to reduce waste, improve process efficiency, and maximize "Gallons Per Man Hour" metrics.
Drive Results:
Establish priorities and production schedules, issuing batch instructions to compounders and packaging personnel to ensure on-time delivery.
People Leadership:
Recruit, coach, and develop a diverse team; you will be responsible for training Team Leaders and employees, appraising job results, and managing labor budgets and overtime.
Champion Safety:
Maintain a secure and healthful environment by enforcing strict safety policies, conducting accident investigations, and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
Maintain Standards:
Oversee facility cleanliness through routine housekeeping and maintenance programs, ensuring equipment remains in top working order.
Collaborate:
Partner across functions—including Buying, Scheduling, and Quality—to resolve complex problems and integrate site-wide objectives.

QualificationsTo be successful in this role, you must demonstrate strong Agility and Mechanical Aptitude.
Requirements include:
Education:
High School Diploma or GED required; a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related field is strongly preferred.
Experience:
1 to 3 years of experience in production manufacturing supervision.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to perform complex mathematical computations; current Forklift certification is required.
Leadership Traits:
Proven ability to work independently, make sound decisions under pressure, and resolve conflicts within a team environment.
Physical Ability:
Must be able to lift over 50 lbs, work in extreme temperatures, and handle hazardous materials while following all special safety measures.
