POSITION TITLE
Noon Duty Yard Supervisor
DEFINITION
Under the direction and supervision of a site administrator, the Noon Duty Yard Supervisor provides active supervision and support to students during recess, lunch, and other non-instructional times. The position promotes a safe, positive, and respectful environment by monitoring student activities, reinforcing school and PBIS expectations, and communicating safety or behavioral concerns to appropriate staff. The Noon Duty Yard Supervisor helps reinforce the school-wide PBIS expectations: Be Responsible Be Hardworking Be Kind HOURS Approximately 2 hours per day
SCHEDULE
Monday-Friday 10:20 a.m.-12:35 p.m.
START DATE
As soon as all required pre-employment paperwork and procedures are completed including fingerprinting, TB test clearance are received.
END DATE
Until Filled
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Student Supervision Actively supervise students during recess, lunch, and other non-instructional times. Monitor student activities and interactions to help maintain a safe and positive environment. Reinforce school rules, playground expectations, and PBIS expectations in a positive and consistent manner. Encourage students to demonstrate responsible, hardworking, and kind behaviors. Assist students with minor conflicts and encourage appropriate problem-solving. Monitor playground areas and equipment for potential safety concerns. Respond appropriately to student injuries, behavioral concerns, and other situations requiring assistance. Report significant safety, behavioral, or student concerns to the appropriate teacher, administrator, or staff member. Assist with orderly transitions to and from recess and lunch. Follow established school procedures and safety protocols. Maintain confidentiality regarding students and school matters. Perform other related duties as assigned by the site administrator.
