Job Description

Long Beach, CA Steel Fabricator seeks Experienced Misc Metals/Stair Steel Production Superintendent / Shop Foreman. Hires/Fires shop team members. Negotiates Labor Rates with new hires based on Union Rates. Handles Worker's Compensation issues. Keeps own files. Reviews work released for Fabrication. Catches errors and ask questions. Contact for yearly City of Los Angeles Certified Fabricator Audit. Ensures we are in compliance with current requirements. Be able to test and pass test with LADBS to be QC person Handles Quality Control. Prices and buys all special coatings, galvanize, sandblast and prime. Directs trucks and how they are to be loaded for deliveries to the job site and schedules deliveries. Complies Mill Test Reports (MTRs) as required for each project. Assigns work to in the shop to meet delivery dates.
