Job Description
The Production Supervisor is responsible for leading daily manufacturing operations across multiple production lines to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives. This role provides frontline leadership by developing high-performing teams, driving operational excellence, and fostering a culture of accountability, employee engagement, and continuous improvement. Reporting to the Plant Director, the Production Supervisor partners closely with Quality, Sanitation, Maintenance, and Operations leadership to optimize production performance, ensure food safety compliance, and support the successful execution of business objectives. Essential Functions & Key Responsibilities Lead daily production operations to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance goals. Supervise multiple production lines while ensuring adherence to production schedules and operational priorities. Maintain and enforce company policies, work procedures, and employee safety programs. Promote a culture of safety, accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement throughout the operation. Partner with Quality and Sanitation teams to ensure compliance with GMPs, food safety standards, and regulatory requirements. Troubleshoot manufacturing issues and provide timely direction to production teams to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency. Coach, mentor, and develop production leads and frontline employees through performance management and ongoing training. Manage labor resources, equipment, and materials to maximize productivity and operational efficiency. Monitor work-in-process inventory and production performance utilizing ERP systems. Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including Lean Manufacturing principles and operational efficiency projects. Support capital projects, equipment installations, and operational improvement initiatives. Ensure adherence to production standards, operating procedures, quality expectations, and performance metrics. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Maintenance, Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, and Sanitation to support plant objectives. Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
