Supervise daily stockroom operations, including receiving, storage, inventory transactions, cycle counting, and material movement. Ensure inventory accuracy through routine cycle counts and physical inventories. Monitor inventory levels and coordinate replenishment activities to prevent production shortages. Investigate inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions. Maintain accurate inventory records within the ERP/MRP system.
Production Support:
Ensure timely issuance of materials to
SMT, PCB
assembly, cable assembly, box build, and final assembly departments. Coordinate kitting activities to support production schedules. Verify material availability against production requirements and Bills of Material (BOMs). Work closely with Production Planning, Purchasing, Manufacturing Engineering, and Operations to maintain material flow.
Receiving & Incoming Materials:
Oversee receiving operations and verification of incoming materials. Confirm materials received match purchase orders, packing slips, and system transactions. Ensure proper handling and storage of sensitive electronic components, including ESD-controlled materials. Coordinate disposition of nonconforming or rejected materials with Quality and Purchasing.
Team Leadership:
Lead, train, coach, and develop stockroom personnel. Establish work priorities and assign daily responsibilities. Conduct performance evaluations and support employee development. Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Process Improvement:
Develop and implement best practices for inventory management and warehouse efficiency. Support Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, and continuous improvement initiatives. Identify opportunities to reduce inventory errors, improve transaction accuracy, and optimize space utilization. Maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
Compliance & Safety:
Ensure compliance with company policies, ESD requirements, ISO procedures, and applicable regulatory standards. Maintain a safe, organized, and audit-ready stockroom environment. Support internal and external audits related to inventory control and material traceability.
Qualifications:
Required High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred. 5+ years of inventory, warehouse, stockroom, or materials management experience in an electronics manufacturing environment. 2+ years of supervisory or team lead experience. Strong understanding of PCB assembly, SMT manufacturing, electronic components, and material traceability requirements. Experience working with ERP/MRP systems. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and inventory reporting tools. Working knowledge of BOM structures, part numbering systems, and inventory transactions. Preferred Experience in EMS/contract manufacturing environments. Knowledge of IPC standards and ESD handling requirements. Experience supporting
AS9100, ISO 9001, ISO
13485, or other regulated manufacturing environments. Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement methodologies.
