Full Job Description Job Summary:

This role is responsible for leading teams in executing safety, quality, service, performance and people objectives, including engaging and developing a team of frontline team members. Collaborates with direct reports, peers across the manufacturing network as well as Team Leaders on activities that support operational goals and objectives for the site, this includes leading continuous improvement initiatives and supporting key objectives for PSC. Duties/ Responsibilities Maintains a positive and professional attitude that reflects a clean, safe, and injury-free work environment by ensuring health and safety procedures are understood and executed by all Team Members. Provide training and development opportunities for hourly team members to enhance their skills and capabilities. Work with the frontline team to monitor and drive strong production metrics every shift. Drive root cause analysis and implement with frontline team members, sustainable solutions which result in high performance in all areas of operations. Plan and manage shift schedules to meet production goals, prioritize work orders, maintain quality requirements, and assure an even flow of work to increase up-time and minimize unscheduled downtime. Schedule work, coordinate production activities, provide leadership to direct reports. Ensure team members have resources to understand equipment, protocols, production standards, safety regulations, waste control, and any other pertinent information which will support success for both them and PSC. Motivate team to drive efficient operation of equipment and support the inspection of materials, products, and equipment to detect and/or prevent malfunctions; assist in troubleshooting any machine slowdowns or other problems. Analyze machine performance, identify opportunities, make recommendations for process and equipment improvement, establish goals, and execute strategy. Work with team to ensure product being produced conforms to customer's specific requests and requirements when applicable. Recommend measures to improve production methods and enact other practices to further improve PSC's lean manufacturing principles. Coaches the team towards common objectives. Participates in one-on-one coaching, team meetings and interacts with frontline team members in a positive and motivational manner. Provides recognition, performance feedback and coaching as necessary to support the team and individual growth and development. Develops team members for future growth and succession planning. Ability to demonstrate good analytical and problem-solving skills. Coach and mentor in various ways to positively impact different styles of learners. Be a servant-minded style leader by serving our Team Members and providing them with all the tools and coaching they need to safely and efficiently perform their job. Performs other duties and responsibilities as required or assigned. Education and Experience High School Diploma or GED. Bachelor's degree preferred. One year of supervisory experience or demonstrated experience leading and guiding a team in a similar capacity. Prior experience in the corrugated industry preferred. Familiarity and experience working with Bobst Asitrades, Flat Bed Die Cutting, and Specialty Folder Gluers is a plus. Previous people leadership experience preferred Ability to train crew on equipment use, adjustments and unique situations. Must demonstrate strong problem solving and analytical skills; willingness to mentor others Ability to work in a fast paced, deadline-oriented environment, prioritize assignments, and handle multiple projects and/or requests concurrently Strong interpersonal skills to effectively lead and communicate with production team and management.
