Job Description
About the job The Production Supervisor oversees daily manufacturing operations, leading production teams to ensure safety, quality, efficiency, and on-time delivery while driving continuous improvement across the shop floor. We're looking for someone who
- Holds a high school diploma or equivalent (technical degree or manufacturing certification preferred)
- Has 5+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment
- Has experience with CNC machining processes, tooling, and manufacturing equipment
- Demonstrates strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills
- Is proficient in reading blueprints and technical drawings
- Has experience with precision measuring instruments and machining equipment setup
- Is familiar with lean manufacturing principles and ERP systems (preferred)
- Possesses strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Is proficient with Microsoft Office applications
- Can prioritize multiple tasks and adapt to changing production demands
- Has experience troubleshooting manufacturing processes and implementing process improvements
- Is familiar with machining, welding, fabrication, assembly, or related manufacturing processes (preferred) What you'll do
- Supervise daily production activities to ensure safety, quality, productivity, and on-time delivery
- Lead, mentor, train, and evaluate manufacturing team members
- Enforce company policies, safety procedures, and production standards
- Coordinate work schedules and production priorities with Operations, Production, and Account Management teams
- Monitor equipment utilization, shop organization, and tooling maintenance
- Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering, Facilities, and Maintenance to improve production processes
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce waste
- Ensure compliance with California meal and rest break requirements
- Monitor production performance and address operational challenges as they arise
- Promote a safe, organized, and collaborative work environment
- Support additional operational initiatives as assigned
