POSITION SUMMARY ATCO
Rubber Products Inc. is currently looking for an experienced Production Supervisor who has exceptional supervisory and leadership skills to lead a production team of 35-50 hourly employees in Sacramento, California. This position will supervise and monitor employees' productivity and oversee the safe use of equipment in a manufacturing environment.
ESSENTIAL
FUNCTIONS and
RESPONSIBLITY
Responsible for the quality, production output, and efficiencies of machines. Meet or exceed all production schedules and set goals Assign responsibilities to production employees and monitor their performance Coordinates with Plant manager and other supervisors to resolve production challenges, recommends improvements to processes, and ensures alignment with organizational goals Serves as the shift leader, motivates and guides employees to improve productivity, product quality, and efficiency. Conducts and supports hiring, promotions, and disciplinary actions; manages production schedules and ensures all records are accurate and up to date Ensure all employees are trained to work safely and efficiently Effectively counsel employees per company policies Conduct shift meetings and communicate expectations Maintain production equipment running and reduce unplanned downtime Monitor, control and reduce scrap or waste Motive employees to achieve production targets Promote a positive and safe work environment Perform other duties as assigned by Plant Manager
REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES
Leadership Dependability
  • Follows instructions, responds to management direction Problem Solving/Analysis Self-Motivated and Results Driven Excellent Verbal and Written Communication Attendance/Punctuality
  • Is consistently at work and on time.
Electrical and Mechanically inclined Personal Effectiveness/Credibility Proficient in Microsoft Office, ERP systems, and inventory control Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
SUPERVISOR RESPONSIBILITY
This position manages all production employees and is responsible for the hiring and performance management of the employees.
POSITION TYPE AND EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
This is a full-time position working 40-45 hours per week, Monday-Friday and may include occasional Saturdays, 9.30 PM to 6:30 AM.
CLASSIFICATION
Hourly Full-Time TRAVEL No travel is expected for this position
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Minimum 2 years of experience
WORK AUTHORIZATION/SECURITY CLEARANCE
Must provide proof of eligibility to work in the
