Job Description

Production Floor Supervisor / Lead (Bilingual - English/Spanish) Marianne's Ice Cream | Santa Cruz, CA | Full-Time | Hourly + Overtime Marianne's Ice Cream has been a Santa Cruz institution for over 75 years. We make and deliver super-premium ice cream to our scoop shops and partners across the region. Our production team plays a critical role in protecting the quality, consistency, and reputation we've built over generations. The Role We're hiring a hands-on Production Supervisor to lead daily operations in our ice cream manufacturing department. This is a floor-first role working directly alongside the production team every day. You'll coordinate the team in real time, maintain productivity and quality standards, solve problems throughout the shift, drive improvements, and work the lines wherever needed to support the team and keep things running smoothly. You'll work with other leaders to ensure communication and coordination in fulfilling production demand. Responsibilities Lead daily operations across multiple production lines Coordinate the team throughout the shift Step into any role needed to keep production moving Maintain productivity, food safety, sanitation, quality, and accountability standards Develop & cross-train team members to improve flexibility and coverage Help improve organization, workflow, and production efficiency Coordinate with Leadership, Warehouse, and Supply Chain teams Troubleshoot operational and equipment issues and help reduce downtime Support onboarding, training, and timecard management Requirements Fluent in English and Spanish Production/manufacturing leadership experience (restaurant kitchen experience does not count towards this requirement) Comfortable leading teams in a fast-paced environment Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting production equipment ability Able to repeatedly push, pull, and lift up to 50 pounds to chest height throughout the shift Able to bend, squat, stoop, kneel, and crouch as part of daily tasks Willingness to work overtime when needed Who Thrives Here You show up for the team — when production needs help, you roll up your sleeves and help solve the problem You don't freak out, you figure it out — you stay calm under pressure, solve problems, and keep production rolling You communicate to create clarity — you address issues directly and keep the team aligned You see the dirt, clean the dirt — you notice problems early and take initiative to fix them You build strong teams — you support people, develop them, and hold them to a high standard You keep it better than you found it — you take pride in improving the operation while helping protect a legacy built over generations Schedule Typical schedule: Monday - Friday, 5:00am - 2:00pm Overtime opportunities available, especially during peak production periods Some holidays required Pay & Benefits $70-80K/yr depending on experience Overtime pay and performance bonus opportunities Paid 30-minute lunch break Health, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) after one year of service with company contribution Paid time off and sick time Some Paid holidays Free ice cream
Pay:
$70,304.00 - $80,000.00 per year
