Full Job Description Job Summary:
The Production Manager oversees day-to-day steel fabrication, manufacturing operations, workflow, and personnel on the shop floor to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and up to safety and quality standards.
Essential Job Functions:

Work with estimators, managers, and foreman to develop production schedules for each Shop and CFAB projects. Production schedule should include fabrication packages according to project delivery schedules and breakdown of hours for each task within fabrication package (fitting, welding, python, laser time, etc.). Review drawings and coordinate with detailers to keep drawings on track. Package all applicable drawings and project hours into traveler to release to shop floor. Review projects with foreman to ensure full understanding of scope before releasing project to shop floor. Ensure production schedule is up to date and on track using Tekla Powerfab. Adjust production schedule as needed. Provide production schedule to Shop Foreman Schedule and lead production schedule meetings Work with the project manager to track project statuses in order to ensure projects are moving through each phase according to schedule (detailing, field verifications, procurement, scheduling, fabrication, delivery) Check shipments leaving shop with project managers to ensure all material and associated hardware are on load Adhere to standard operating, health and safety procedures Drive and champion risk reduction; establish protocols and quality control measures Communicate clearly and effectively with internal and external personnel Must work Monday through Friday with some night and weekend hours. Supervisor or Management Experience/Education/Qualifications:
10+ Years Experience in Manufacturing or Steel Fabrication-related field; equivocal work experience may be substituted. High School Diploma or General Educational Development (GED). Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing or Related Field preferred Lean Manufacturing Certification/experience preferred
Must regularly sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, talk and hear. Must frequently stand and walk. Must regularly lift or move more than 15 pounds.
Work Environment:
This job operates in a welding and fabrication shop. This role routinely uses machines and equipment such as welders, grinders, cranes, forklifts, beam and plasma cutters. The noise level in the work environment can be high. Use of some office equipment is necessary such as computers and printers. Work is performed both inside a building and outside in various weather conditions.
