Has full ownership responsibility of department. In-depth dept. knowledge necessary for this position

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Promotes a safe work environment and habits. Ensures the work load is distributed among the employees in the dept., setting priorities and working through plans to obtain throughput, efficiency, WIP, and budgetary goals. Maintains an updated knowledge of the quality criteria so as to provide assistance and ensure the accuracy of the work being performed by the team. Performs various supervisory duties including but not limited to providing input on entire team's reviews to the production supervisor, weekly performance updates with all three shifts. Will represent department at morning and other production meetings Audit employee's adherence to work instructions. Provides support to achieve established work goals. Assigns daily/weekly/monthly work assignments and projects. Assists in all aspects of training each team member on dept. processes and policies. Leads the dept. in emergency evacuations Assigns team champions for off shift support and off shift leadership in case of emergency. Must ensure all data entered into the system is timely and accurate. Offers input and assists production supervisor in disciplinary actions Ensure all Company policies and procedures regarding production and employee guidelines are adhered to, reporting infractions as needed. Will be required to support manufacturing initiatives, such as Conflict Resolution and Teamwork

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES

Will perform other administrative or technical production duties as requested or assigned by the Production Supervisor. Performs other work-related duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Leads a department of direct and indirect employees

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

Demonstrated ability to read, interpret, and generate manufacturing reports Demonstrated skill in establishing and maintaining work priorities for self and others. Working knowledge of company policies and procedures Ability to work independently. Exceptional attendance Additional training; e.g.:

EHS, Spill Containment, Evacuation Demonstrated written, verbal and interpersonal skills. Basic computer skills with the ability to develop to advanced computer skills. Ability and willingness to work outside the typically scheduled hours which may including weekends, holidays, vacation coverage, or other absences.

Pay:

$25.00 - $30.00 per hour
