Job Description

This position is for a weekend shift - Saturdays and Sundays 7am to 7:30pm. This role does not qualify for benefits.
Summary:
This position is responsible for supervising workers engaged in the production operations. Essential Functions of the
Job:
The essential functions of this job require the person, with or without reasonable accommodations, to perform the following: Manage, hire, lead, motivate and qualify the workers in our production department in accordance with organizational policies and applicable laws. Exhibit confidence in self and staff. Resolve interdepartmental issues, accept, and give feedback as well as recognition. Maintain a clean and safe environment: Ensure the production floor is clean and safe for all staff. Ensure production output according to the production schedule while ensuring safety, quality and productivity. Work with the production manager and the planning department on defining the weekly production schedule. Understand, apply, and train the principles of LEAN Manufacturing. Ensure to continuously improve production related processes by maintaining an efficient and effective Shop Floor Management system. Interpret specifications, blueprints and job orders. Assign duties to appropriate personnel. Interpret company and department policies to workers and ensure personnel comply. Enforce safety regulations. Maintain time and production records. Confer with other the Production Manager, Supervisors, and other departments to coordinate activities of individual departments. Use the software programs when performing this job, e.g. (but not limited to)
CAD, MRP
II, Microsoft Suite. Perform all other duties as assigned. Recommended Education and/or Experience High School Diploma Required; minimum of three years' experience. Strong organizational and leadership skills required. Strong communication and interpersonal skills preferred. Saturday-Sunday 7am-7:30pm 24 hour/week
