PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR

for an automotive supplier in Norwalk, OH.

Job Summary:

The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily manufacturing operations and leading production employees to ensure safety, quality, productivity, and production goals are met. This position works closely with employees, maintenance, quality, and management to keep production running efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and direct production employees during assigned shift. Monitor production schedules and ensure daily production goals are met. Assign employees to work areas and ensure adequate staffing. Monitor product quality and address production or quality issues. Ensure employees follow company safety policies and manufacturing procedures. Train, coach, and provide direction to production employees. Monitor employee attendance, performance, and productivity. Work with maintenance to address equipment problems and minimize downtime. Communicate production issues, staffing concerns, and shift information to management. Complete production paperwork, reports, and other required documentation. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe production environment. Assist with continuous improvement efforts to improve productivity, quality, and efficiency. Address employee concerns and help resolve issues on the production floor.

Qualifications:

Previous manufacturing or production supervisory experience preferred. Experience leading or supervising hourly production employees. Strong communication and leadership skills. Ability to troubleshoot production issues and make decisions in a fast-paced environment. Ability to read and understand production schedules, procedures, and safety requirements. Basic computer skills. Ability to work the assigned shift and overtime as needed.
