Job Description

Factory Foreman (English & Spanish Required) The factory foreman plans, coordinates, organizes, and controls production and the staff therein. Their main responsibility is to ensure the efficient production of goods and services and that they are of right quantity, quality, and cost all in a timely manner. Duties and Responsibilities Planning and scheduling production activities and supervising the production process/team. Ensuring the effective management of production lines. Monitoring the production practices and setting the schedules as required. Monitoring inventory levels. Working out the material and human resources as needed. Maintaining equipment and keeping proper maintenance logs. Supervising product standards and enforcing quality-control programs. Working with managers effectively to execute the policies and goals of the company. Keeping abreast of health and safety protocols. Supervising and inspiring team of workers and reviewing the work performance of subordinates. Skills and Specifications Ability to act decisively. Ability to grasp complex concepts easily. Pay attention to minute detail. Excellent planning, negotiating, and organizing skills. Robust physical and mental health and stamina. Ability to motivate co-workers, colleagues and others. Patient and self-confident. Ability to operate in a systematic and logical manner. Good judgment. General Working Conditions 90% of work is in the non-climate controlled production area and 10% of the time is in the climate controlled office area. Temperature ranges in the production area range from 50 degrees to 105 degrees depending on the season. Employees must wear appropriate personal protective equipment as required by the company's safety policies. Physical Abilities Standing and walking 80% of time on the job. Sitting 20% of time on the job. Walking up to 130 feet from front office to shipping in the production area. Lifting or manipulating product for inspection or other use (up to 35 pounds). Identify and distinguish colors. Keen sensory awareness of moving people, equipment, and objects. Ability to climb stairs/ladder. Manual dexterity and strength in both hands. Repeated use of hands (typing, writing, reading manuals, specifications, using office equipment, forklift). Able to hear (phone, alarms, trucks, forklift). Visually detect equipment and production objects, able to push/pull objects of 22-50 lbs.
