We design and build backup power packages, including tanks and enclosures, for healthcare, industrial, and technology-driven customers that require uninterrupted power at all times. Our operations are driven by safety, quality, delivery, and continuous improvement to support critical customer applications. Job Summary The Stair Weld Supervisor is responsible for leading all stair welding operations to ensure products are built safely, correctly, and on schedule. This role owns daily execution, weld quality, labor performance, and team development within the stair department. The supervisor is a hands on leader who manages work on the floor, removes obstacles, and develops welders while driving efficiency and accountability.
Essential Job Functions:
Plan and execute stair weld schedules to support overall production flow Ensure proper fit up, welding, inspection, and staging to meet downstream needs Balance manpower across shifts while actively managing floor execution Reduce bottlenecks, rework, downtime, and non productive labor Coordinate with supporting and reliant departments for production needs Lead, coach, and develop employees Set and enforce expectations for safety, weld quality, and performance Support hiring, training, accountability, and development of future leaders Manage labor hours, productivity, overtime, and accurate time charging Review metrics and drive continuous improvement Ensure welding equipment reliability, preventive maintenance, and material availability Support standard methods, tools, and best practices
Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent required. 3+ years experience in manufacturing or industrial environments preferred. Prior supervisory or team leadership experience preferred. Knowledge of weld systems
Physical Requirements:
The physical demands described below are representative of those required to perform the essential functions of this position, with or without reasonable accommodation. Frequent standing and walking for extended periods. Repetitive use of hands, arms, and upper body. Frequent bending, stooping, crouching, and reaching. Ability to push, pull, lift, and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds (or position-specific limit). Ability to safely operate tools, machinery, and production equipment. Ability to read measurements using rulers, gauges, and measuring tools. Ability to work in environments with elevated noise levels while wearing required PPE. Working Conditions This position is performed in a manufacturing, production, and warehouse environment that may include indoor and outdoor work areas, some of which are not fully covered. Employees may be exposed to fluctuating temperatures, weather conditions, elevated noise levels, airborne particles, fumes, moving machinery, and uneven surfaces. Work involves proximity to heavy equipment, forklifts, and production machinery. OSHA-compliant safety training, PPE, and safety procedures are provided and required at all times.
