Hands-on leadership role in an outdoor industrial environment Safety-sensitive position with direct supervisory responsibility Paid training and clear advancement pathways Pay-for-performance culture with strong bonus potential What You'll Do As a Production Lead, you will own daily operations in your assigned area—leading by example, coordinating crews, managing material flow, and ensuring production and safety goals are met every shift. Lead and enforce all company and OSHA safety procedures Conduct safety meetings and set safety expectations for the crew Own daily production operations for assigned department or area Assign duties, breaks, and lunches to maintain uninterrupted production Coordinate with management and other departments to meet production schedules Supervise movement and placement of scrap inventory Ensure processed scrap meets customer specifications Step in and perform any yard role as needed Maintain professionalism and confidentiality at all times Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.What We're Looking For:
Required:
Minimum 1 year of supervisory or leadership experience in heavy manufacturing, scrap, or construction Minimum 3 years of experience in an industrial or outdoor environment Ability to perform all yard positions Strong mechanical aptitude Solid computer and administrative skills Strong communication skills Dependable attendance and work ethic Ability to stand or walk up to 12 hours and lift up to 50 lbs Flexible to work overtime, weekends, and holidays Must pass pre-employment drug screening and background checkPreferred:
