Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Physical Therapist - PRN (as needed) to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this role, you will provide expert rehabilitative services to patients across various settings, including inpatient hospitals, outpatient clinics, home health, and community care environments. Your expertise will help patients regain mobility, reduce pain, and improve their overall quality of life through personalized therapy plans. This position offers flexible scheduling to accommodate your availability while making a meaningful impact on patient recovery journeys. Duties Assess patients' physical conditions by reviewing medical histories and conducting comprehensive evaluations of physiology and anatomy knowledge. Develop and implement customized care plans targeting specific patient needs, including orthopedics, and geriatrics Deliver physiotherapy treatments such as trigger point therapy, manual therapy techniques, and exercise programs to promote healing and mobility. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams on discharge planning and coordinate care for patients transitioning from hospital to home or community settings. Monitor patient progress regularly, adjusting treatment strategies based on clinical outcomes and patient feedback. Document all patient interactions accurately within electronic medical record (EMR) systems while adhering to medical terminology standards. Educate patients and caregivers on exercises, injury prevention, and home care strategies to support ongoing recovery. Requirements Valid licensure as a licensed Physical Therapist with current registration in the applicable state or region. Proven experience in acute care, inpatient hospital settings, outpatient clinics, or home health environments. Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and physiotherapy techniques such as trigger point therapy. Familiarity with EMR systems for documentation and patient management. Experience in discharge planning, care plan development, and working with diverse populations including geriatrics and pediatrics. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with healthcare teams across various settings.
