Full Job Description Summary:
The Manufacturing Supervisor is a hands-on position responsible for carrying out numerous manufacturing-related tasks associated with the management of developing, mixing, and formulating. In this role, you need to follow and create operations procedures, specifications and detailed work instructions including starting up/stopping operations, clearing operations areas, calculating/forecasting material usage and availability, verifying operational and product specifications, and visually inspecting products for defects.Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for the scheduling of manufacturing personnel. Assists in the preparation of manufacturing orders. Assists in cycle counts/Inventory Control. Ensures that required work orders are picked and oversees the expediting of sampling. Ensures all paperwork is properly filled out. Communicates operational and maintenance issues to prevent operational delays. Seeks and suggests lean manufacturing and process improvements on a continuous basis. Assists with updating and training of Standard of Procedures and observes workers to ensure compliance with PPE/standards. Maintains standards for housekeeping and security. Assists oversight with compliance with established safety policies and procedures. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications, Education and/orExperience Required:
Bachelor's degree preferred in chemical engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience) High School Diploma or equivalent required Proven experience in a supervisory or leadership role within a chemical manufacturing environment Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, safety protocols, and quality control practices in the chemical industry Excellent leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse workforce. Proficiency in implementing lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies. Must pass a respirator fit test and online medical exam in accordance with OSHA regulations; compliance is required prior to employment and as a condition of continued assignment.Language Skills:
English required; Spanish is a plus. Reasonable accommodations can be made, up to and including translation services.Physical Demands:
Position requires walking, standing for prolonged periods, occasionally required to sit, climb, or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. May frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.Work Environment:
Non-temperature-controlled warehouse, Non-temperature-controlled production floor, temperature-controlled office.Other Duties:
