What You Will Do:
Lead, initiate, support, and sustain change as directed Monitor department activities to ensure employees work safely at all times and utilize required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Coordinate and sequence work assignments within the department to ensure smooth workflow and optimum production efficiency Issue daily instructions and work assignments to employees to meet production and build requirements Direct and/or oversee departmental housekeeping and cleanup activities Partner with employees to address nonconformance issues and quality-related concerns Assist with monitoring employee performance and provide input for performance evaluations Support training efforts and help employees learn processes and procedures Uphold Caterpillar's core values of integrity, excellence, teamwork, commitment, and sustainabilityWhat You Will Have:
Minimum of six months of accumulated service time in current position to be eligible to bid on this position, unless otherwise stated Successful completion of the CNSP Operations Test Thorough understanding of production processes and operational requirements Demonstrated ability to train, coach, and develop team members Strong problem-solving skills Proficient computer skills Strong leadership and communication abilities Ability to adapt quickly and learn new processes Proven ability to positively influence and motivate a team through commitment to Caterpillar's Values inAction What Will Put You Ahead:
Previous leadership or team lead experience in a manufacturing environment Experience coordinating production activities and workflow management Strong knowledge of quality processes and continuous improvement initiatives Experience training and mentoring employeesAdditional Details:
This position is a working Team Lead role and serves as an active member of the production team. The Team Lead is responsible for helping the team achieve safety, quality, productivity, and velocity goals. Relocation assistance is not available for this position. GA Summary Pay Range:
$24.05- $31.
