The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to working safe, demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment, a strong desire to learn manufacturing processes and operating complex machinery, and have a desire to advance within the company. MUST HAVE
• Ability to work available position on 2nd Shift (3pm -11pm) or 3rd Shift (11pm-7am) with frequent overtime and mandatory Saturdays. Experience working in a sheet plant is plus. Strong attendance and safety records and be available to work weekends, unscheduled holidays and 12- hour shift if required. Perform and document quality audits, verify job completion, understand job sheet. Check job specifications to carton, learn to Make-ready machine, monitor carton quality, maintain materials for production, complete necessary reports (forms), maintain housekeeping to standards set by management, complete line clearance and additional job duties as assigned by department manager. Compliance with all workplace rules, policies and procedures, i.e. SQF, safety, etc.
What you need to succeed:
• Must have Machine Operator experience in a high-volume manufacturing setting. 2 years of continuous manufacturing experience in the last 5 years. Ability to operate various manufacturing equipment, follow specific directions and other duties as assigned. Must possess strong computer skills and apply use of technology in the workplace. Comply with all safety regulations. Maintain a clean and safe work environment. Possess excellent work ethic and attention to detail. Ability to read a tape measure and effectively basic math. Ability to navigate stairs, stand, walk, bend and kneel thoroughly the entire shift. Perform PM as directed by supervisor. Read and understand schedules. Assist in driving production, safety, and quality.
